Safety is of great importance at The Rigging Corporation

We use a suspended access system incorporating independently-anchored, primary and secondary attachment systems. In the event of failure of one system, 100% backup is provided by the other. All our Rope Access Technicians are highly trained in safety procedures as stipulated by IWH (Institute for Work at Height), working in conjunction with the Department of Manpower and the SABS.

 
Working at height requires the highest level of safety procedures and supervision.
 
• The Rigging Corporation is a full IWH member
 
• All Rigging Corporation staff and supervisors are IWH or IRATA trained, assessed and certified.
 
• All supervisors are qualified first aiders.
 
• All sites run to strict safe operating procedures, with comprehensive safety files on all sites.
 
• Regular and documented equipment inspections.
 
• Staff undergoes additional equipment and task specific PPE (personal protective equipment) training.
 
• All PPE is managed by our competent store managers.
 
 

Accreditations

 
Rope access uses abseiling and mountaineering techniques that have been refined for use in the industrial access field.
 
Since our inception The Rigging Corporation has undertaken to continually educate, develop and empower our workforce through skills development and training. We have been actively involved in the development of the Institute for Work at Height (IWH) and continue to adapt ourselves to become more efficient, safe and effective.
 

IWH – Institute for Work at Height is responsible for training, assessing, certifying and overseeing safe operating practices for rope access in South Africa. All our staff is either IWH or IRATA (International Rope Access Trade Association) Certified, and The Rigging Corporation is a full company member of IWH.

 

ISO 9001/2000 – ISO is an international and independent quality management system which allows The Rigging Corporation to run its systems effectively anywhere in the world. This system ensures conformity, document control and accountability on all sites ensuring we provide safe high quality services.

We are approved applicators of the following products: ABE, SIKA, Marmoran, Plascon, Midas and Prominent. Our operators and ground crew are all highly trained, motivated professionals, working to the highest industry standards of their respective trades.
